The galleries at Museum of Glass are dedicated to both temporary exhibitions, as well as works from our Permanent Collections that feature twentieth and twenty-first-century glass. Our exhibitions span a wide range of topics and convey the meanings and motivations of diverse artists with the help of our Curatorial Team.

Furthermore, exhibitions at Museum of Glass aim to highlight the diversity inherent to the material of glass and glassmaking techniques, and engage audiences who are unfamiliar with the art form.

Exhibition Proposals

Museum of Glass invites exhibition proposals from artists, independent curators, scholars, partner institutions, and community members. Exhibition proposals should be directed to the Collections/Exhibitions Manager and will be reviewed by the Museum’s exhibition committee on a quarterly basis. In general, Museum of Glass considers exhibitions two to five years in advance.

Exhibition proposals must include:

• explanation of how the exhibition complements, enhances, and fulfills the mission at Museum of Glass

• checklist of artworks to be exhibited (including sample images)

• description of the theme and content of exhibition

• proposed timing and space for display at the Museum

• list of possible related educational activities and programs

• proposed budget

• proposed timeline of tasks and deadlines

• list of any visual or media equipment need for the exhibition

• proposed sponsorship partners and plan for publicity/media coverage
